In Logan County, a sheriff’s deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a pickup truck after noticing it had no break lights. After stopping the truck, a passenger, later identified as 33-year-old Jody Adkins, ran from the scene.

The officer followed Adkins into a trailer, but was told by the family that he exited through the back door. That’s where the officer discovered footprints that led him to another home. After reaching the next house, the deputy is said to have found Adkins hiding in the closet.

Adkins was arrested and charged with fleeing police and obstructing an officer. He also had active warrants out of Logan County Circuit Court.
