
Two Magoffin County residents were arrested this past Friday morning after deputies attempted to serve a warrant.
When officers arrived at the home of 33-year-old Matthew Sparks, of Salyersville, they spotted needles alongside a plastic bag containing white powder. The warrant they had intended to serve was out of Morgan County.
Deputies then searched the home, finding heroin, meth, and marijuana. Officers also discovered two guns, scales, and quantities of cash consistent with drug activity.
Sparks was arrested along with 32-year-old Jennifer Clark. Both have been charged with drug trafficking and possession charges. Sparks was additionally charged with felon in possession of a firearm.
