Two people out of East Bernstadt was arrested on Tuesday morning after police say they attempted to rob a convenience store.

Officers say that around 3:30 AM Tuesday morning, 41-year-old William Jennings Francis and 37-year-old Regina Lee Neal attempted to rob the Glenview Market.

Neal is said to have been wearing overalls and a ski mask while she demanded money from the clerk while threatening to shoot her. The clerk refused to cooperate with Neal, who then left the scene in a gold Ford Interceptor, presumably being driven by Francis.

The pair was found and arrested at a home off of KY 1376. Both individuals admitted to attempted robbery.

Neal received a charge of first-degree attempted robbery and Francis was charged with complicity to commit robbery. Francis was also wanted out of Clay County for flagrant non-support.

The pair was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
