Annetta Lynn Thompson (formerly Blanton, nee Ball), 58, of Jacksonville, NC passed away on Friday January 28, 2022, at Premiere Nursing Home & Rehabilitation in Jacksonville.

She was born in Paintsville, KY and grew up in Huntington, WV, the eldest of 5 children.

Friends may visit the Preston Funeral Home on Wednesday February 2, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday February 3, 2022. At the request of the family in response to the expected ice storm Graveside Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Ball Family Cemetery with Chuck Price officiating.

Burial will be held at the family plot on Ashhopper Branch.
