An officer with the Logan County Sheriff’s Department attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling along Buffalo Creek Road. The vehicle instead sped away, traveling in the wrong lane and eventually crashing into an abandoned building.
The driver, 43-year-old Nathan Joe Meade, ran from the vehicle, but was quickly apprehended.
Shortly after, the deputy discovered Meade had active warrants for absconding home confinement, escape, and destruction of property. He was additionally charged with fleeing with reckless indifference, possession of Fentanyl, fleeing on foot, and several traffic violations.
He is being held without bail at the Southwestern Regional Jail, in Holden.
