KSP Post 09 Criminal Interdiction Team received information that a quantity of marijuana would be transported to Pike County.  Troopers contacted  48 year old  Christopher Higgins, of Stockbridge Michigan, in the parking lot of the Pikeville Food City.  After a KSP canine unit alerted on Higgins vehicle, Troopers located and seized approximately 8 pounds of marijuana.  Higgins was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Marijuana Over 5 pounds – 1st Offense.  Higgins was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.  This case remains under investigation by Trooper Bryson.
