A deputy with the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office was investigating a tip regarding stolen property, and wound up making an arrest for heroin trafficking.

Word was given that the deputy could find stolen property, including a stolen saddle, at the home of 36-year-old Brandon Dale Minix. The officer not only found the stolen items, he also discovered two bags of suspected heroin alongside marijuana, bags of pills, a syringe containing a clear liquid, and a set of scales.

Minix was arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of drugs and paraphernalia, and receiving stolen property.
