Details have recently been released regarding the fatal crash on US 119 on Wednesday in Letcher County.

The crash happened just after 8:00 AM, near Pert Creek. According to police, a tractor-trailer carrying a lumber load, failed to navigate a sharp curve, running off of the road and into the creek.

The two men inside the truck, 70-year-old Jackie Lawson and 52-year-old Stuart Horn, both of Elkhorn, died at the scene. No seatbelts are said to have been used during the time of the crash.
