An officer out of Flatwoods has been shot. A manhunt is currently ongoing for the man who pulled the trigger.

The shooting is said to have taken place at around 2:30 AM on Monday, in the 100 block of East Street, in Flatwoods. The officer who was shot is said to have been responding to a 911 call regarding a suspicious person.

The officer was flown to the hospital after the incident. Officials with the Kentucky State Police say the officer is stable and undergoing surgery.
