Couple Arrested On Burglary Charges After Being Caught With Dead Woman’s Property

A man and woman out of Johnson County are now in jail on charges of burglary. This coming after police reportedly found them to be in possession of items that were taken from a dead woman’s home.

 

Deputies received a tip concerning people in a car with an attached cargo trailer, who were allegedly burglarizing a home in Sitka on Saturday and Sunday. Deputies discovered the car on Sunday.

 

Officers spoke with 31-year-old Brandon Gregory Hensley and his wife, 27-year-old Sarah Michelle Hensley. Sarah reportedly informed officials that she and her husband had been friends with the deceased woman and stopped by her house to take a few items.

 

Officials found them to be in possession of a laptop, tablet computers, a 50-inch TV, two firearms, and pills that had been reported stolen.

 

The owner of the home they were found at, informed police they had been evicted and were not supposed to be on the property.

 

Both Hensleys were arrested on charges of burglary, theft, and theft of a legend drug.
