A man out of Elkhorn City has been charged with murder following accusations that he shot and killed his brother during an argument.

 

36-year-old Cody Cantrell is said to have been involved in an altercation with his father, leaving a visible injury to his father’s face. This allegedly sparked an argument between Cantrell and his brother, Adam.

 

According to Kentucky State Police Officials, Cody Cantrell shot Adam Cantrell, killing him.

 

Cody also received a gunshot wound to his leg, which he is said to have received during the altercation with his brother. There is no word as to who shot Cody.

 

Cody Cantrell was arrested and has been charged with murder as well as assault for the incident with his father.
