A woman out of Wayne County was arrested Tuesday evening on drug charges.

Deputies stopped a car along Walnut Street in Monticello after learning its registration had expired. Police found that the passenger in the car, Jamie Spradlin, had two outstanding warrants. After placing her under arrest, deputies discovered two bags of meth weighing over five grams, two glass pipes, and empty capsules within her purse.

Spradlin now faces new charges, including trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
