A man who is said to have opened fire at police officers was killed when officers returned fire on Monday night.

 

Officers were investigating a report of shots fired near Davella, immediately coming under fire upon their arrival. At least one law enforcement officer returned fire on the suspect, killing the man in the process.

 

No officers are said to have been injured during this incident.

 

The incident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
