
Joseph Hicks, who pleaded guilty in June to killing his former girlfriend, Sheena Baxter, has been sentenced for murder.
The incident took place over two years ago, in early 2020. According to police, Baxter’s body was discovered inside a shortage facility.
On the morning of Monday, July 11th, Hicks was sentenced to 45-years in prison.
In addition to the murder charge, Hicks was also charged with robbery, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
He was sentenced to 25-years in prison for murder and an additional 20-years for the robbery.
