A teenager is now facing several charges after police say he stole from a Dollar General Store in Knox County.
Police were called to the scene of the crime on KY RT 11 in the Little Poplar Creek area.
An initial investigation revealed that the 17-year-old had entered the store armed with a knife and demanded money.
Officers say he took about $100 before fleeing the scene on-foot.
Deputies found the suspect in a nearby home. Once police tried to take him into custody, he allegedly attempted to fight and threaten them while resisting arrest.
The suspect’s identity has not been released, but the minor has been charged with robbery, resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, and terroristic threatening.
