Law enforcement officials on Monday addressed the public regarding rising concerns on social media , of a potential serial killer in the Huntington area.

The statement, released by the Huntington Police Department, pertains to speculation that has been rising throughout 2022, following several homicides in the area.

Officials from the department said these homicides are completely unrelated. However, there may be some people who believe there is a connection between the homicides.

The first three of the homicides have resulted in arrests. The fourth homicide is currently under investigation.

Also in the statement, the department said that it work diligently to investigate all serious crimes in the community.
