Flava Oneil Young was born, at Rockhouse in Pike County, KY to Mike and Willie Marie (Burris) Young on March 25, 1939.  He passed away at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Martin, KY on Saturday night, September 17, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, beginning at 11 AM at the Mayflower United Baptist Church, Pikeville, KY, with Kennith Childers officiating. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY, with Neil’s family and friends serving as pallbearers. Andrew Colloms and Ashton Colloms will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday evening from 6-9 PM with Masonic service at 7 PM. R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY, is serving the Young family.
