An animal cruelty investigation led to dozens of dogs being rescued, and one dog being found dead.
The owner of the dogs gave the dogs over to the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society. The owner’s name and information on any charges have not been publicly released.
The dogs vary in size, age and also in temperament. All the dogs were that were rescued had medical issues. These issues include flea infestation, open sore and abscesses and malnutrition. One dog has a severe infection from an old eye injury did not heal properly. One dog has bite wounds that are healing.
The Humane Society would appreciate donations. No matter the size of the donation, it would help care for the dogs that they have no room to shelter. Their staff worked late to figure out how to re-arrange the dogs at the humane society to create space for the dogs recently saved.
Any money raised over the required amount, will go towards the society’s Sick and Injured Medical Fund, to help other shelter pets in similar shape.
