
A missing person case in Kentucky led to a fatal shooting in Mississippi Sunday afternoon.
Kentucky State Police had been looking for a 37-year-old missing woman from Laurel County, who was last seen on Friday. It was speculated that she was with her husband, Ronnie L. Martin.
Law enforcement in Mississippi say Martin was fatally shot Sunday afternoon in Senatobia Mississippi.
The coroner for Tate County, Mississippi confirmed that Martin was shot and killed by police. According to investigators, just before 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Martin was in a stand-off with police and pointed a gun at them.
Back in January, London police were called to a domestic situation to the home of Martin and the woman on Chestnut way. Martin was accused of assault in the 4th degree. According to court records, those charges were dropped.
The woman Kentucky State Police was searching for was also found in Mississippi. Her exact whereabouts are unknown currently, but its reported that the woman is now with her family and safe.
