Sgt. Micheal Webb says in a release “If you drink and drive this Fourth of July, you will be arrested.” And he is insisting that the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign ensures zero-tolerance for inebriated drivers. Last year 43 injuries were sustained from 77 crashes over the Fourth of July holiday period. Of those 77 crashes were 9 fatalities. KSP along with their local law enforcement partners throughout the Commonwealth will be out in full force over the Fourth of July weekend in an effort to keep impaired drivers off the road. The effort is funded in part by the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety and begins Friday, July 1st and extends through Monday, July 4, 2016.
