Man indicted for seeking minor to perform sexual acts

Jeffrey Scott Turner, 58, of Lancaster, was arrested June 9 and charged with prohibited use of an electronic communications system to procure a minor for sex, a Class D felony. He was indicted by a Franklin County Grand Jury Tuesday, June 28. Turner became the subject of a three-week investigation after he posted an online ad seeking a “dad for daughter” to perform sexual acts. After Turner communicated over the Internet with an undercover investigator’s persona of a minor, he was located by Beshear’s office and admitted he placed the initial ad and to having a conversation with a person he believed to be a minor. Turner was arrested by the Garrard County Sheriff’s Office and is currently out of jail on his own recognizance.
