Laurel County Man Charged with Assault, Woman Sent to Trauma Center

A man from Laurel County is now facing charges following an assault on a woman and endangering several children.

26 year old Travis Austin Hall on Sunday morning surrendered to Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies.

According to police, Hall was involved in an incident that occurred outside of London, just off Highway 1276 Saturday night. The incident led to Hall allegedly assaulting a woman inside of a vehicle while six children were inside.

Deputies who were on the scene have said that the woman informed them that her and Hall got into a fight while driving on the road. Also according to the woman, Hall hit her in the face between 10 and 12 times while he was still driving, which nearly caused the car to crash.

The woman was sent to the hospital where doctors found out her brain was bleeding and she had a fractured bone around her eye. she was sent to Tennessee for further treatment at a trauma center.

Hall was placed on a $50,000 cash bond at the Laurel County Detention Center. He is charged with assault, along with seven counts of Wanton endangerment.
