The Pikeville Medical Center has recently received a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, to train those who are wanting to become an Emergency Medical Technician. 

The Pikeville Medical Center will conduct the EMT training in collaboration with the Pikeville Fire Department.Those interested can attend a free class that will take place today at 6:30pm, at the 2nd floor ballroom in the Appalachian Wireless Arena.

Those who attend can speak to those involved in the program. The training is free to the students accepted into the program.
