A man from California was arrested on Friday afternoon for allegedly driving a toy scooter on US 23.
Police received several calls claiming the man was traveling at speeds of 5 – 10 miles an hour. This is said to have caused a buildup of traffic with several near collisions.
Pikeville Police and Kentucky State Police responded to the scene, where they attempted to pull the man over. However, the man is said to have only screamed and cursed at officers before continuing down the highway.
Eventually, 56-year-old Tyrone Lloyd Frazier, of Hollywood, CA, pulled onto the shoulder of the highway. Despite making the stop, Frazier allegedly continued to yell at law enforcement while continuing to resist arrest.
He was finally taken into custody and now faces charges of obstructing a highway, driving too slow for traffic conditions, resisting arrest, and numerous other charges.
