The Laurel County Sheriff’s office is participating in the nationwide campaign, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over”, to crack down on drunk driving.
The campaign began Wednesday and runs through Christmas and New Year’s day, concluding on January 1st.
The campaign is conducted annually during the holidays. Law enforcement agencies all over the country participate in an effort to remove impaired drivers from roads.
Impaired driving continues to be a leading cause of crashes on Kentucky roads.
Deputies will also concentrate on child safety seat violations, seat belt violations, speeding and distracted driving.
The Laurel county sheriff’s office said it will continue to remove impaired drivers off the roads each and every day.
