An update from the Stanton Fire Department:

Stanton Fire was dispatched to an audible fire alarm at Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation, first in units reported a break in a line of the sprinkler system causing atrocious amounts of water to free flow, flooding an entire patient wing. 

Middlefork Fire/Rescue Clay City Fire Department, Powell County EMS,. Powell County Emergency Management, and Staff from Powell County Detention Center worked tirelessly to squeegee the standing water from the hallway and patients rooms.  Units cleared a little after 23:00 hrs (11:00p.m.). Stanton Fire also wants to give a huge shout-out to the employees of Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation for assisting with cleanup efforts while they were taking care of patients simultaneously.
