James Wayne Shepherd Slone, age 66 of Harlan County, Kentucky, went to be with our Lord on Thursday January 5, 2023, at his residence in Dayhoit, Kentucky. He was born on January 18, 1956, in Perry County, Kentucky to the late Obrean and Susie Ann Shepherd Slone.

Funeral Service for James Wayne Shepherd Slone will be Wednesday January 11, 2023, at 1PM at the Ivy Point Old Regular Baptist Church in Garner, Kentucky with Eugene Thacker, Jamie Hughes and Donnie Patrick officiating. Visitation will be held after 6PM on Monday January 9, 2023, and anytime Tuesday January 10, 2023, at the church with service each evening at 7PM. Burial will follow at the Ritchie Cemetery in Fisty, Kentucky.
