Harlan County Man Arrested On Meth Trafficking Charges

An update from the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office:

 

On Friday January 20th, Deputies Bryan Napier and Jeremy Jones were on patrol in the Bledsoe community when they executed a traffic stop on a vehicle resulting in a DUI arrest. 

 

Through further investigation deputies recovered suspected heroin, methamphetamine, digital scales and several syringes. Cameron Caldwell of Kettle Island was arrested and charged with trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree (heroin), drug paraphernalia buy/possess, Possession of Marijuana and DUI.

 

In other activity: On January 19th, a Kenvir couple was arrested from an investigation which began after a child was transported by EMS to the Harlan ARH ER. Deputies accompanied social services on a home visit and recovered suspected methamphetamine and other controlled substances. The couple  was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia buy/possess and 3 counts of wanton endangerment by Deputy Bryan Napier who was assisted by Deputies Jeremy Jones and Austin Reynolds . Due to an ongoing investigation involving juveniles, no names have been released.

 

On January 16th Deputy Caleb Carmical arrested a male subject in Dayhoit on a Harlan Circuit Court Indictment and two bench warrants.
