An Eastern Kentucky Man was arrested and charged with assault Friday afternoon after police responded to an alleged assault complaint.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office announced that they arrested 48 year old James Paul Killion of Corbin at 3pm Friday Afternoon.

The arrest happened off Horse Creek Road, after deputies were dispatched to an alleged assault complaint. When deputies arrived they discovered that a male subject allegedly hit a female in the face. Deputies acknowledged red marks that were found on the side of the victim’s face.

Killion was charged with 4th degree assault and was placed in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
