Melvin Lowell “Babe” Turner, age 76, of Sassafras, KY, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born at Hazard, KY, on September 28, 1946 to Ova Turner and Beatrice Combs Turner.

Funeral services for Melvin Lowell “Babe” Turner will be held 1 PM Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Merle Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in the Robert S. Cornett Cemetery at Sassafras, KY. Visitation will be held 6 PM – 9 PM Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Ky River Regional Animal Shelter.
