An update from the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office:

 

On 1/13/23, Whitley County Deputy Brentley Patrick, Lieutenant Wayne Bird, and KSP Auto Theft Detectives returned back to a residence in Woodbine to follow up on an investigation that was initiated during a previous search warrant. This investigation was regarding a potentially stolen Camper that the suspects were living in.

With assistance from the State Police, it was determined a vehicle at the residence was involved in a theft of a camper from Lexington KY. The camper that the suspects were residing in had all the VIN plates removed and other modifications to conceal its identity. The two residents of the trailer were arrested.

 

Aaron Burnette, age 49 of Woodbine, was arrested and charged with two counts of obscuring the identity of a Machine and receiving stolen property over $10,000.

 

Nichola Gaymes, age 53 of Woodbine, was arrested and charged with two counts of obscuring the identity of a Machine and receiving stolen property over $10,000.
