A gas line rupture in Knott County last Friday had  first responders concerned for the safety of local residents in the area.  Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard received a call at around 6:34 p.m., advising that a gas line near the junction of KY 582 and Steer Fork Road in the Pine Top community was leaking.  Local first responders were notified and responded to this location. Residences within a one-half mile radius were evacuated.
