
Deputies with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office made a drug trafficking arrest over the weekend in the community of Maytown following a traffic stop.
Deputies who were on patrol in Maytown stopped 46 year old Nick Hagans of Turkey Creek for driving on a suspended license. During the stop, a K-9 unit named “Bear” alerted deputies of illegal narcotics.
Deputies conducted a search and found a sufficient amount of crystal meth, a range of prescription pills and other illegal drugs.
Hagans attempted to conceal or destroy the drugs but most of the drugs were successfully recovered by deputies.
Hagans was charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and driving on a suspended license.
Hagans was placed in the Floyd County Jail.
