A fatal crash in Pike County that occurred Yesterday has left one person dead and another person in the hospital.

The crash happened Yesterday evening when a motorcycle struck a commercial vehicle on U.S. 23

According to the Pikeville Police Department, The incident happened when the motorcycle attempted to change lanes when it clipped the truck. The motorcycle had two people on it and both were ejected from the motorcycle in the crash.

One of the two people was a female that was confirmed dead at the scene.

The person that was operating the bike was a man who was sent to Pikeville Medical Center for his injuries.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
