Deloris Wright, 76 years of age of Dorton passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023 at her residence. She was born July 7, 1946 in Leslie County to the late Lily Johnson and Polly Joseph Johnson.
She was a longtime member of the Pilgrim Rest Old Regular Baptist Church at Beefhide.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Claude Wright, one daughter; Lahoma Carol Wright, four brothers; Delbert Johnson, John D. Johnson, JP Johnson, Leonard Johnson, one sister; Doshie Johnson.
Deloris is survived by one son; Clois (Selena) Wright of Johns Fork, two daughters; Polly Stewart of Cowen Mountain, Donna (Tony) Stewart of Vanover Branch, three sisters; Ninevah Smith of Shepherdsville, Josephine Stine of Nancy, Anna Lee Johnson of Dayton, OH, five grandchildren; Jeremiah, Savannah, Devin, Lahoma, Tony Joe.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery at Dorton. Visitation will be at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday with a service beginning at 7:00 PM.
