Mavis Jean Coleman, age 84, of Raccoon, KY went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 29, 2023.
Mavis was born January 1, 1939 in Pike County, KY and her parents were the late Rufus & Jettie Goff.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jenis Coleman; a Daughter, Judith Robinson; a Granddaughter Rebekah Robinson, Sisters; Lois Davis & Joyce Coleman; two Brothers Burton & Calvin Goff.
Left to mourn her passing are her devoted children, Reta (Walter) Robinson, Joe (Bonnie) Coleman, Don Coleman, Freda Janie (Phil) Bartley, Jettie ReRe (Ronnie) Coleman, Carol (Jackie) Fields & Chris (Kortney) Coleman; sixteen Grandchildren, twenty two Great Grandchildren, Sisters; Linda Karen Thacker, Gay May and one brother, George Thomas Goff and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mavis was of the Primitive Baptist faith, she was loved and treasured by all who knew her.
The family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 6:00 P.M.-10:00P.M. and Wednesday, May 31, 2023 with services both nights at 7P.M. Funeral services are Thurs, June 1, 2023 at the TMFH Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with David Thacker, Tim Slone, Robbie Worrix & Ricky Worrix officiating all services. The burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons.
