Reports of a possible intoxicated driver led to a Magoffin County man being charged with several drug offenses.

The Prestonsburg Police Department announced that they arrested 47 year old Charles Cantrell of Salyersville after responding to reports of a possible intoxicated driver, who was operating a 2006 Chevy Impala on KY-114.

Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and investigated Cantrell and the vehicle. During the investigation, police discovered over two ounces of meth, several pills and cash.

Cantrell is charged with two counts of 1st degree trafficking in a controlled substance, both a 1st offense,  and one count of 3rd degree trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st offense.
