Jerry Lee Hurt, 63, of Weeksbury, KY husband of Sue Ellen Johnson Hurt, died Saturday, June 10, 2023 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. He was born May 26, 1960 in McDowell, KY a son of the late Richard and Virgie Johnson Hurt. Jerry was a retired coal miner.

He is survived by one son, Timothy (Karen) Johnson, Weeksbury, three daughters; Michelle (Jeremy) Holland, Louisville, KY, Crystal (Michael) Little, Weeksbury, Kesh (Bryce) Marcum, Richmond, KY, one brother; Terry Hurt, Weeksbury, one sister; Debra Hurt, Knot County, KY, ten grandchildren: Sherae, Charlotte, Harley, Marley, Stephanie, Cory, EJ, James, Kash, Aspyn, two great grandsons-one on the way, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Raymond “RD” Mullins, one brother; Douglas Hurt, and two sisters; Norma Hamilton and Ladene Hurt Little.

Funeral service for Jerry Lee Hurt  will be conducted Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 1 PM in the Weeksbury Pentecostal  Church of God, Weeksbury, KY, with Vernon Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Weeksbury Community Cemetery, with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements. Visitation is after 5 PM Monday at the church.
