Update from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet:

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is advising motorists of one-lane traffic and lane reductions along KY 15 in Knott County as crews are conducting repairs on a bridge over Carr Fork Lake

Repairs will be done in two phases. During phase one, traffic will continue along the southbound lane. In phase two, traffic will be rerouted to the northbound lane.

Motorists and boaters are encouraged to pay close attention to signage in the area as road and lake traffic will be restricted in the area during the projects.

Crews will work Monday through Friday, with some weekend work possible during the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Traffic control will remain in place during the project’s duration. The project is expected to be completed in December of 2023.

Haydon Bridge Company has been contracted to perform the work. Schedules are based on weather conditions.
