Kentucky Emergency Management is conducting a basic search and rescue course from   July 28-July 30 at Pike County Emergency Management in downtown Pikeville.

The course is designed to provide guidance to SAR field responders on the best practices and techniques, information about the duties and tasks of SAR first responders, current information on SAR field responder clothing and equipment and much more.

Students must have water, two flashlights, sturdy shoes and appropriate dress for the exercise and students must be at least 18 years old to register for the class.
