With the approval of the Kentucky Division of Water, Prestonsburg City’s Utilities Commission is lifting the boil water advisory that was voluntarily issued on June 13, 2023, due to water line maintenance. This advisory included all customers in the City of Allen up to and including Stumbo Park. The advisory also included any side roads and hollows within these two points.

The boil water advisory was issued as a precautionary measure. The water lines have been flushed and water samples taken in the area have been analyzed by a certified lab. The lab results indicate that the water supply was not compromised and is safe for customers to use.
