Rupert “Rudy” Donald Charles, age 73, of Garrett, KY, husband of the late Freeda Eilene Charles, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in the Highlands ARH, Prestonsburg, KY. He was born August 04, 1950 in Rowan County, KY, a son of the late Rupert and Bellie Stidham Charles.

 

He is survived by One son; Donald Charles, Mt. Sterling, KY, One daughter; Kimberly (Bill) Hunt, Salt Lick, KY, Four brothers; Charlie Charles, Salt Lick, KY, Tony Charles, Salt Lick, KY, Bill Charles, Owensville, KY Harley Charles, Mt. Sterling, KY, One sister; Delores Jones, Mt. Sterling, KY Eight grandchildren; Billy D.Hunt, Shelby Lynn Bailey, Alisha Hunt, Jonathan Hunt, Marsha Hunt, Whitney Charles, Chelsey Charles, Hailey Charles, Five Great-Grandchildren; Iris Charles, Liam Peck, Jasmine Bailey, Billy Thomas Willard Hunt, Johnny Henry Hunt.

 

In addition to his wife, Rupert was preceded in death by One brother; Ralph Charles, One sister; Dorothy Profit.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 02, 2024 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY. Burial will follow in the Conley Family Cemetery, Garrett, KY.
