Ora Lee Auxier McKenzie, age 89, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at Highlands ARH.

Ora Lee was born March 15, 1935 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Frank Auxier and Mae Conley Auxier. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouses, Randall J. “Tookie” Hayslett and Paul Richard “Mickey” McKenzie and two brothers, Paul Clyde Auxier and David Keith Auxier.

Ora Lee is survived by one son, John Hayslett of Paintsville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Lisa (Jamie) Davis, Mark Hayslett, and Melissa (Mike) Johnson; six great grandchildren, Michaela Johnson, Alex Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, Abby Johnson, Rori Davis, and Kinley Davis; and one sister, Carol Auxier Branham of East Point, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Aaron Penix officiating. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024.
