Diana Wells, age 73, of Van Lear, KY died Friday March 22, 2024 in Prestonsburg, KY. She was born March 15, 1951 in Paintsville, KY to the late James Monroe & Nancy Rice Slone. Diana was a retired shipping clerk with American Standard. On April 2, 1981 in Clintwood, VA., she married Ronnie Wells who survives. Also surviving is 1 son; Greg Slone of Bowling Green, KY, 1 step son; Jarrod J. wells of Elkhorn City, KY, 3 brothers; Mike (Linda) Slone of Beckley, WV, Charles “Chuck” (Brenda) Slone of Paintsville, KY & David (Kim) Slone of Oil Springs, KY, 1 sister; Sharon (Nick) Marsh of Cincinnati, OH., 6 grandchildren; Raley (Clay) Buttram, Ragan (Luke) Littrell, Reed Slone, Katie Wells, Ashley Wells & J.D. Wells and 2 great grandchildren; Cooper & Carter Buttram. Friends may visit the Preston Funeral Home on Monday March 25, 2024 from 6 pm until 8 pm, on Tuesday March 26, 2024 from 5 pm until 8 pm and on Wednesday March 27, 2024 after 9 am. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Wednesday March 27, 2024 in the chapel of the Preston Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, KY.
