Police have arrested a suspect they said was involved in a shooting during the weekend in Perry County. Johnathan Proffitt was charged with murder. Police said he shot Samuel Smith on Saturday night. Smith later died at Hazard ARH. Proffitt was taken to the Kentucky River Regional Jail. Sheriff Joe Engle said another person involved could also face charges.
