Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency yesterday given the property damage from storms and the fact thousands in the commonwealth have been without power. Due to pending weather conditions, the governor closed all Executive Branch state office buildings Tuesday at 1 p.m. According to a release from the governor’s office, the Kentucky Emergency Operations Center in Frankfort has been activated.
