Governor Beshear vetoed House Bill 581, commonly known as the “filling station” bill.

The bill is sponsored by Representative Ken Upchurch, R-Monticello. The bill would ban local governments from restricting gas stations in favor of electric charging stations. Governor Beshear has remained supportive of electric vehicles.
