ALLEGATIONS OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT ON UK SWIM TEAM

judge-3

The University of Kentucky, Director of Athletics Mitch Barnhart and two former swim coaches are the target of a federal lawsuit. The lawsuit filed on Friday alleges the university allowed former Coach Lars Jorgensen to foster a “toxic, sexually hostile environment within the swim program.” The lawsuit was filed by former swimmer turned assistant coach Briggs Alexander and a second unnamed woman. Their lawsuit goes on to say there were credible reports of inappropriate sexual relationships and sexual assaults that UK failed to fully investigate. Some of those allegation’s stem from Jorgensen’s previous job at the University of Toledo.
