A school bus driver was taken into custody after the school superintendent received a report of alleged impairment. Flatwoods Police Chief David Smith said the bus driver, Lisa Nichols, had taken students to an away sporting event and dropped them off. When she came back from dinner, the police said she was drunk. Nichols was taken into custody after a sobriety test was administered. School administration was then notified to ensure all bus routes were covered the next day. No students were with the driver at the time of the incident. Nichols is no longer employed by Greenup County Schools.
