A resolution concerning the opioid money said the sheriff will invoice the fiscal court “as needed for funding to be included in the regular claims list.” The money will be used by the sheriff’s office to “continue combating the opioid epidemic,” the resolution says. The other funding was appropriated to “provide additional support for the safety and protection of the citizens of Floyd County,” the resolution says.
